My life for Aiur.

My wife for hire?

Edit 01.01.11: Uploaded the watercolor version of my drawing. I realized as I was painting it that my proportions were still off but whatever. Creative license, yeah? Since I am basing this drawing off another drawing...y'know...I can take some artistic liberties.  I don't want to do a background because I can't think of a good background. It's harder than you think! Anyway, that's what I'm going to end up giving my friend so...yeah, hope he likes it.

It's been a while, hasn't it? I've been slacking off on drawing because of finals and then after that it was pure laziness...but no more! It's a new year and that means new habits, and I am really going to try extra hard to get some drawings up on this thing. I have already planned a couple in my mind...

So, uh, this beautiful creature is a zealot from StarCraft. My friend requested a drawing of it for Christmas, and I've only started to get around to it now (bad friend!). I'm going to paint it with watercolors but I figured I would upload the sketch of it first. I'm basing it off this image (got to give credit where it's due) and I want to imitate the coloring style with paints. Let's see how well that goes though...I haven't painted in a while. I drew this originally within 15 minutes but then realized the proportions were all off--a sad realization, indeed. So I had to erase and re-sketch it but now I'm more pleased with the results. Granted, the face is a bit off and will require fixing but I kind of rushed it since most of the effects with the face will be done with paint, not pencil. Anyway, enjoy!
